"Dancing Keys"  I'm pleasantly surprised by this one. In the 1990's, I did a small square in the center of paintings with various instruments, keys, even olives. I then had large lined sheet music behind the whole square that I "squiggled". It was a nice surprise to do this a little different with a fanned out deck of cards look and contrast the black squiggle to the charcoal background. Those keys are dancing tonight! Last night, I asked if you had any ideas for the next 20. Great ideas splashed across facebook and on the phone. I even had someone send great photos of his violin and guitar "posed". I look forward to the surprise of what might happen in the next 20. Thanks for your input and support!

"Concerto" Here's Painting #3 ... Concerto is defined as a musical composition for one, two or three solo instruments. I love hearing and painting the violin and bass; they have great curves. And, of course, there's a keyboard. As you may have noticed at this point, I love that piano keyboard. Many people ask me if I play the piano since I paint the ebony and ivory's so often. Well, I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old. After "Mill Street School Days" in Orland, CA I walked to piano lessons. I ended up taking piano for 5 years. I also played the clarinet for 5 years with the great music teacher Ed Fairlee. Anyway, hope you like the color combination. I've heard this is bold to try because I'm using warm and cool colors.
